A military helicopter crashed in Al-Shallaq near Sheikh Zuweid in North Sinai Saturday morning, leaving the crew unharmed.
Eyewitnesses said the helicopter was hit by an RPG, which caused it to catch on fire.
The military spokesman’s office said they are still investigating the incident.
The incident comes in the wake of five bombings in Greater Cairo: four on Friday and one this morning, coinciding with the third anniversary of the 25 January Revolution.
