CAIRO: Intel Corporation and Raya Academy announced, Tuesday, collaboration for specialized training programs targeted at software developers and architect communities. Under this collaboration, which is the first to be announced worldwide, Intel and Raya Academy will launch a series of training programs that will initially include a three-day, in-depth multi-core programming training featuring lab sessions.

This will enable software developers to enhance the codes and offer more compelling threaded applications to the Egyptian market, and is part of Intel’s Digital Transformation Initiative launched last year, with the mandate of building local entrepreneurship, enhancing education and driving digital accessibility and specialized competencies.

As an initiative of Intel Software College, these programs will be designed to ensure that software developers can capitalize on Intel’s software tools and technologies to receive maximum performance on the applications running on Intel architecture and platforms. These training programs will also provide developers with exposure to tested methods for optimizing software performance on Intel architecture, code samples, self-help and troubleshooting tools.

Speaking on the occasion, Sou Bennani, Intel software college manager, EMEA Software & Solutions Group said, “The two industry leaders will bring their respective strengths to this alliance – the latest technologies, such as multi-core, and expertise from Intel with the instructional design, training development and delivery expertise of Raya.

To begin with, this collaboration will launch courses at Raya such as multi-core programming and later optimizing applications on the Intel Xeon processor, tuning for the Intel Itanium 2 micro-architecture and high performance computing.

Intel and Raya will also set up state-of-the-art training centers, where students will be taught by Raya faculty with expertise on Intel’s tools and technologies. Upon completion, students will also receive the course materials and resources for ongoing learning. Additionally, students who enroll in these courses will also have the facility to register online on the Intel Software College Web site and check availability of online courses to supplement classroom training.

“This unique training collaboration with Intel will lead to 2,000 skilled developers on emerging Intel technologies over the next three years said Hossam Ezz, operations manager, Raya Academy. “We hope to continue to extend this collaboration by offering additional coursework and to be able to reach more developers.
