Egypt joins international union Les Clefs d’Or

CAIRO: President of Les Clefs d’Or Greece, Emmanuel Vrettos, visited Cairo last week for the founding assembly of Egypt s new section of the Union Internationale des Concierges d’Hôtels Clefs d’Or (UICH) at Sheraton Heliopolis.

“Governors, ministers, they all know what we do – and can do – for them, and Egypt should be one member of this family, said Vrettos. “We should use all strength and the golden keys to open all doors we can open, he added.

Union members wear the Carl F. Bucherer pair of crossed golden keys on their lapel as a symbol that guarantees excellent service.

The Egyptian union s representative board consists of five members: Nader Moreed, chief concierge of Sheraton Heliopolis as president; M. Yassin, concierge at Semiramis InterContinental Cairo as vice president; Atef Kayssar, concierge clerk at InterContinental Cairo City Stars as treasurer; Ayat Hayrem from Mena House Oberoi as general secretary; and Ahmed Aboul-Kheir Ali as assistant secretary.

UICH functions as a network of professional concierges of hotels and resort hotels grouped into national sections called Clefs d’Or (Golden Keys) that represent 39 countries and more than 4,000 concierges in different cities and hotels.
