Art: Isabel Castiho
A native of Brazil, Isabel Castiho has been painting since 1989, and some of her work is on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sao Paulo. In 1998, she married the Consul General of Spain in Sao Paulo and followed her husband to New York, Spain, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and now Egypt exhibiting her work along the way. Castiho’s personal experiences are reflected in her abstract paintings. Her recent experience in the region has influenced her color palette, leaning towards the browns and sandy shades of the Arab landscapes.
