CAIRO: A newlywed couple died from asphyxiation due to inhaling gas 20 days after their wedding, police sources said.
The couple, Ahmed Samir Awad, 24, accountant, and his bride Zeinab Abdel Mohsen, both from Menufiya, had decided to spend the 10 days left of their honeymoon in Awad’s sister’s flat, in Boulaq Al-Dakrur.
But they were caught unawares by leakage from the bathroom’s gas cylinder.
Their death was discovered when the sister’s husband came back from work and opened the door to find their dead bodies in the bathroom.
