CAIRO: Ten people died and seven were seriously injured when a truck crashed into a microbus cab on the Quraimat Road, Al Saf in the southern parts of the capital.
One of the truck’s tires had suddenly burst, causing the driver to lose control of the huge vehicle as the microbus sped in the opposite direction. The crash was so severe that the truck’s cabin got torn away from the trailer and crushed the microbus killing and injuring the cab users.
Five civil defense vehicles rushed to the scene of the accident. The injured were taken to different hospitals in Al Saf, Helwan and May 15 City.
