CAIRO: National team goalkeeper Nader Al-Sayed has moved from African champions Al Ahly to Cairo rivals ENPPI in a high-profile Egyptian transfer.

Al-Sayed signed a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee with a club in the bottom half of the 16-club national championship after failing to unseat Ahly first-choice goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadary.

I do not regret the time spent with Al Ahly, but I need regularly first team action, said Al-Sayed, a 34-year-old who has played for several Egyptian clubs, in Belgium and Greece.

ENPPI have changed coaches in a bid to steer away from the relegation zone, giving the post to former Egypt star Hani Ramzy after firing widely traveled German Rainer Zobel.
