Cairo: The tourism police at the Pyramids Giza plateau were alerted to a man standing atop of the big pyramids, the local press reported. Hisham Nabil Ramadan, 25, a mechanic from Shubra was warned not to attempt climbing as he was seen by the police trying to start the venture. But despite the warning, Ramadan was adamant in showing off his daredevilry.

He took the guards unawares and sneaked to the rear of the mammoth edifice and started climbing. The guards followed him but he climbed ahead until he reached the apex. When arrested he told police he had simply taken the risk to get a better view of Giza.
