Egypt head coach Hassan Shehata will include some of Ahly rested players to the squad for Mauritania game in the African Nations Cup qualifiers on June 3rd.
Shehata held a meeting with the players on Tuesday and told them to show up in the camp on May 27th, just nine days after the start of their holidays.
Ahly’s technical staff has decided to rest six players: Essam Al-Hadari, Shadi Mohamed, Emad Al-Nahas, Mohamed Aboutrika and Emad Meteb who had all massively contributed in the team’s large and intense campaign.
The last two didn’t attend the meeting as Meteb is banned from the game after conceding a red card last round game while Shawki is out of form right now.
