Vodafone reshuffle, Ian Gray takes over in September

CAIRO: Ian Gray, managing director and chief executive officer of Vodafone Egypt, will succeed Mohamed Nosseir in leading Vodafone Egypt starting next September. Nossier expressed his will to step down from chairing Vodafone Egypt’s board of directors after holding his position for nine years – ever since establishment of the company in 1998.

Besides his new tasks as chairman of the Board, Gray will also serve as Vodafone’s chief executive officer for Eastern Europe. Richard Daly, current chief commercial officer of Vodafone Egypt, will undertake the duties of CEO of Vodafone Egypt within the coming period.

In another development, Vodafone Egypt announced it would de-list its securities from the Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchanges.
