The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on its official web site on Tuesday that the opening day of the 2007-2008 Egyptian Premier league season will be on August 13th.
The EFA also scheduled the Egyptian Super Cup to be played on August 9th, four days before the league kick off.
The fixtures of the new season are yet to be announced by the Egyptian football governing body.
On the other hand, the EFA accepted Ahly s request to face Portuguese giants Benfica in a friendly game on the 29th of July, in the Egyptian champions centennial celebrations.
