CAIRO: Egypt lost to Slovenia 3-1 on Sunday to finish 10th in the World Junior Championship for Volleyball held in Morocco from July 7 to 15.
The Pharaohs were barely defeated 25-23 in the first set, but then they leveled the score by winning the second set 25-23. That was the end of their winning streak, as Slovenia stole the remaining sets 25-19 and 25-16.
In the same championship, Japan beat Morocco 3-1, Argentina beat Bulgaria 3-0 and the USA beat Cuba 3-1.
Brazil will face off with Russia for the gold and Italy will play against Iran for the bronze medal.
