CAIRO: Al Ahly goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari has been included in his side s squad for the Egyptian Super Cup game against Ismaili on Thursday after recovering from a face bone fracture.
The Egypt international keeper sustained the injury during Al Ahly s 3-0 home win over Esperance in the CAF Champions League last month.
However, Al-Hadari is unlikely to be risked in the match as stand-in keeper Amir Abdul-Hamid is expected to stand between the sticks.
Emad Meteb also returns after his 10-day ban by Al Ahly ended.
The out-of-form striker was banned and fined LE 40,000 after he protested furiously at being substituted in Esperance game.
Right-back Islam Al-Shater was named in the squad after recovering from flu while newly-signed midfielder Moataz Eno could make his debut against Ismaili.
Rami Adel, who was recalled by Al Ahly after finishing his loan spell with Arab Contractors, is also included.
Midfielder Hassan Mostafa, winger Tarek Al-Saied and right-back Ahmed Sedik have been all left out.
