Wondering where everyone in Marina is hanging out this summer? Tahiti is this season’s choice spot – both day and night.
Marina resort is about 300 km away from Cairo, featuring the longest beach on the entire North Coast. It’s where well-heeled Egyptians flock to escape the summer heat and hit the beach, and there’s no shortage of nightspots, cafés and restaurants to cater to the growing crowd.
Tahiti, a private beach with an artificial lake it shares with Porto Marina, opened in summer 2005 and it quickly became the in place to see and be seen. It has everything you’d expect from Marina beaches – music, white sand, turquoise water, and water sports. What makes it unique is that Tahiti houses a wide pool and turns into a trendy café/restaurant at night, offering a diverse menu of food, drinks and shisha, along with music on a big screen TV.
Tahiti is spacious with a funky lighting scheme, comfortable, contemporary furniture as well as green plants and palm trees around the seating areas. And you’ll probably meet a lot of celebrities during your stay.
The two-month (August and September) membership costs LE 400. Only members are allowed to enter free of charge during the day, and non-members pay LE 50, not including service, food or beverages. At night, there’s a LE 75 minimum charge for both members and non-members.
The day shift goes from 11 am until around 9 pm. Tahiti opens again for the evening around midnight.
