CAIRO: A 30-year-old housewife threw herself off a balcony in the middle of a heated argument with family members, reported Al Gomhuria newspaper.
A family feud between the housewife, Abeer Farag, her brothers and her mother ended in tragedy when Farag jumped from the fourth floor.
Farag was already suffering from severe depression and had attempted suicide before.
In another incident, Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper reported that a mother abandoned her children in the middle of a busy parking lot in Giza to take revenge on their father for hitting her.
The mother instructed her two children, Mohamed, 5, and Shahd, 3, to stand in the parking lot holding hands until she visits her sister and comes back.
Mohamed and Shahd were first picked up by the police after people in the lot started noticing them, and were then taken to an orphanage where they are still waiting for their mother.
