What do you get when you merge Fergie’s rocking style with Kipling? A “Fergalicious line of handbags that will debut in New York this weekend.

The 78-piece collection has three lines and no piece costs more than $200, the New York Post reported Thursday. Nice Scout line includes bags and satchels in earth tones. Naughty Scout is rock n roll inspired prints with lots of hardware, and Dutchess -the title of her Top 10 solo album – features evening and weekend bags of luxurious fabrics with leather accents.

“Since I got three collections, I wanted to hit on three different facets of my personality, of women’s personalities, Fergie, real name Stacy Ann Ferguson, told reporters at the Post.

” Nice Scout, which is a nature girl, trying to be green, that whole thing. The Naughty Scout is a little more for the night owl. And the Dutchess line, that’s more for the glamour girl; it’s more chic, high-end and mature.

In 1987, the Belgian Company, Kipling, started with a few employees in order to introduce and promote a new line of soft nylon casual bags on the Belgian market. Today, Kipling stores have nabbed prime locations in Cairo’s shopping districts and malls.

The playful little monkey key holder, which adorns each bag, is a symbol of the sense of humor in the Kipling designs, and it quickly became the brand’s trademark.

Ferguson told the Post she designed and helped conceptualize the styles based on things she liked, such as the utility belts she wears when she shops. As for the fabrics, she took some samples right out of her closet.

“I got to bring in my swatches, and I got to design and name them. The plaid for the Carpet Bag is from a dress I wore for a Fergalicious performance, she says. “It’s similar to the Ferguson tartan, which is my last name and my Scottish heritage. And I had to do that to pay homage to the whole duchess theme.

“I wanted to start something I could afford back in the day. I remember I moved back to my mom’s house, eating her food, and it’s not like because I lived there I lose my sense of fashion, she was reported to have said. “I still wanted to look good, but I couldn’t afford high-end stuff. But I still wanted stuff that was good-quality and fashionable.
