Mohamed Omar confirmed on Sunday that he stepped down from his post as Ittihad coach due to the unhealthy atmosphere within the team.
There are many people who destabilize Ittihad through their greed in having a leading role in the club, Omar told FilGoal.com.
I can t work in this unhealthy atmosphere so I decided to hand in my resignation.
Omar initially revealed his intention to leave Ittihad following the team s 2-0 defeat to Arab Contractors in the Egyptian League.
However, he led the Alexandria-based club against Zamalek but a 2-0 away defeat to the Cairo giants sealed his fate.
I will fly to Lebanon for a one-week vacation before considering my options, he added.
FilGoal.com learned that Ittihad are considering approaching either Aluminum coach Sabri Al-Miniawi or German tactician Michael Krueger.
