Ismaili announced that Ismail Hefni will take charge of the team on a temporary basis, following the sacking of former coach Taha Basri on Monday.
Former star Hefni will act as the team s caretaker coach until the Dervishes board decides on the new manager.
Current Yemen coach and ex-manager Mohsen Saleh has been short listed as a possible option, in addition to German Theo Bucker, also a former Ismaili coach.
Ironically, Bucker has been sacked by Saudi Arabia s Ahly Jeddah on the same day that Ismaili showed the door to Basri.
Basri is the second manager to get axed by the Ismailia-based club this year, following the dismissal of Frenchman Patrice Neveu in pre-season.
