CAIRO: The Egyptian Football Association competitions committee handed Zamalek a 2-0 win over Masri in their abandoned league game held in Port Said last Saturday.
“Zamalek have been awarded the victory and Masri were fined LE 10,000, the competitions committee president, Nayed Ezzat told FilGoal.com on Thursday.
Referee Ahmed Ouda walked off the field after being verbally abused by the angry fans, who claimed a penalty for Masri, and the game was abandoned in the 81st minute.
At the time, Zamalek were leading 1-0 courtesy to Sherif Ashraf’s header in the 7th minute.
