CAIRO: Pedestrians by the railroad crossing of Mansheyet Nasser witnessed a horrific scene when 18-year-old Hossam Arabi Fathi grabbed 21-year-old Mohamed Al Sayed’s head and took a knife to his throat, Al-Akhbar newspaper reported.

Witnesses who were present at the scene seized Fathi and turned him into the Nasr City police station. He told police that Al Sayed had borrowed his cell phone and wouldn’t return it. Fathi had filed complaints to the police station but when they disregarded him, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Al Sayed was crossing the railroad when Fathi spotted him and attacked him. He is being held at the Nasr City police station, where he was turned in with the murder weapon still in his possession, according to Al-Akhbar.
