CAIRO: Al Ahly coach Manuel Jose praised his opponent s display after the Reds thrilling 4-3 league win over 9-man Enppi on Sunday.

Enppi took the lead twice against the holders, but were punished by an injury time strike from Angola striker Flavio Amado.

Enppi played very attractive football, and it shows that Egyptian football is developing, Jose said after the game.

The ultra-defensive style of playing against Al Ahly has changed this season, I can see that teams are always looking for a win against us.

The Portuguese tactician admitted that his defense line, who conceded a rare three-goal margin, did not have the best of games.

The Reds missed key defense duo Shadi Mohamed and Ahmed Al-Sayed, as inexperienced center-half Mohamed Samir and out-of-fitness Rami Adel deputized.

We obviously made mistakes at the back, this is largely due to the lack of match fitness and experience, we also missed Shadi and Al-Sayed,

Samir had a nervous game, conceded a penalty, but he is still young and he is a good defender, he just needs time to develop.
