CAIRO: Egypt will complete preparations for next year s African Cup of Nations with a friendly warm-up game against Angola on Jan. 13, one week before kick off.

Angola accepted our friendly proposal, and we should face them on Jan. 13 in Portugal, Egyptian Football Association (EFA) Chairman Samir Zaher told FilGoal.com.

The African champions will also face Namibia on Jan. 5 in Cairo, before flying to Abu Dhabi to meet Mali five days later.

Egypt will compete with Cameroon, Zambia and Sudan in Group C, while Angola have to overcome Tunisia, Senegal and South Africa in Group D.

On the other hand, Zaher revealed that EFA board members gave separate views regarding Hassan Shehata s plea to lift the one-year suspension imposed on Mahmoud “Shikabala Abdel Razeq.

The Zamalek player had been suspended for his “inappropriate behavior during last summer s Pan African Games in Algeria, but Shehata wants him for the Ghana finals.

A section of the EFA refuses to overrule the decision, while others accepted Shehata s appeal, we will reach an agreement in the upcoming few days, said Zaher.

Shikabala was part of Egypt s 2007 Military World Games winning team.
