CAIRO: Amr Zaki s double led 10-man Zamalek to an easy 3-0 home victory over Telecom Egypt as the Cairo giants moved to second place in the Egyptian League table.

Osama Hassan opened the scoring in the 36th minute before being sent-off in the second period due to a second bookable offense.

Zaki, who shrugged off series of problems with Zamalek board, doubled the lead shortly before the interval.

He put the icing on the cake ten minutes from time as the men in white secured their second consecutive win.

The result put Zamalek in second place of the table with 27 points, six behind leaders Ahli, who have a game in hand.

Skipper Hazem Emam made his first start this season after in-form playmaker Shikabala was banned for six months by FIFA due to a transfer dispute.

the fans favorite was subjected to unusual angry taunts from Zamalek supporters when he came on as a substitute in the league opener against Ismaili.

But some good work early in the game earned him applause from the fans.

After four minutes, Emam released right-back Ahmed Hossam in the right side of the area but the latter s efforts was blocked by Telecom keeper Ibrahim Al-Sayed.Emam threaded another neat pass through to Zaki and burst into the area to receive it back but his mis-hit shot went wide of the post.

Hassan, who deputized for the suspended Tarek Al-Sayed, broke the deadlock in the 36th minute.

His curling free-kick from the edge of the area floated over the wall and into the bottom corner of the net.

The former ENPPI man then threw his shirt to the floor in anger, apparently because he was frustrated at being ignored in the past period.

Zaki extended the lead four minutes before the break after being set-up by Emam.

Combative frontman Zaki ran on to the 32-year-old s superb outside-of-foot pass before cutting inside past his markers and drilling a low shot that took a deflection and went into the net.

Although Hassan was sent-off after receiving a second booking 16 minutes into the second half, Zamalek found no difficulty in dominating the visitors.

Zaki completed the rout in the 80th minute after connecting with Hossam s cross at the far post to head into the far bottom corner
