Emam, Abdullah out of Cup match

CAIRO: Zamalek captain Hazem Emam was dropped from his squad for the Egyptian Cup game with Maleyet Kafr Al-Zayat on Friday.

The 32-year-old playmaker was initially named in a 20-man squad before manager Ruud Krol left him out as he failed to recover in time for the game.

Emam missed the 3-0 victory over Ismailia Electricity in the competition due to injury.

Newly-signed midfielder Mohamed Abdullah was also dropped despite being included in the initial squad.

Full-back Ahmed Ghanem is back after serving a one-match ban.

Striker Sherif Ashraf and central midfielder Ahmed Abdul-Raouf missed the game after collecting two cautions.

Youngsters Ahmed Fekri and Alaa Ali are also named in the squad.
