CAIRO: Essam Al-Hadari has been linked with a move away from Al Ahly following his splendid display in the Nations Cup.

We had a verbal approach but we are waiting for an official offer and then we will discuss it, Al Ahly goalkeeping coach Ahmed Nagui told FilGoal.com on Tuesday.

The Red Devils official refused to reveal any more details but Khaled Bayoumi, a sports analyst, confirmed that Premier League giants Arsenal showed their interest and are ready to cash around 15 million English pounds.

I had this information from internal sources and the offer should arrive in the next few hours, he told FilGoal.com.

Al Ahly’s marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi said that he has nothing until now but if such a bid is tabled we will surely consider it.

Essam Al-Hadari, 35, had a scintillating performance in Ghana and won the Best keeper award.
