GABORONE: Botswana Defense Force goalkeeper Modiri Marumo has signed a three-year contract with Egyptian club Haras El Hodoud, his club said on Monday.

He impressed the Alexandria-based team when playing for Botswana against eventual champions Egypt in 2008 African Nations Cup qualifiers, keeping a clean sheet in Gaborone and conceding just one goal in Cairo.

The 29-year-old army officer has represented his country at senior level more than 50 times and helped Defense Force win the national championship on four occasions. -AFP
