CAIRO: Al Gaish saw their hopes fade in the Arab Champions League after being held to a goalless draw at home by Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca on Monday.
The Egyptian club is still fourth in the table with only five points, and one game to go, while Wydad secured a place in the semis after picking their 10th point. Al Gaish controlled the game in terms of possession but their strikers are to blame for not collecting the points on offer.
The Moroccans didn t take any risks in offense and got back to build a very solid defense.
Al Gaish will face Al-Taleaah in the last game of the group stage for the second qualifying ticket of this group.
