CAIRO: Two Palestinians seriously wounded in Israel s onslaught in the Gaza Strip died in Egyptian hospitals on Monday, the state news agency MENA reported.
It named the dead men as Ghassan Abd Rabbo, 18, and Aref Daghmach, 28.
Egypt on Sunday allowed several Palestinians critically wounded during Israel s blitz to cross into its territory for treatment, medics and witnesses said.
Four ambulances carrying at least eight seriously wounded Gazans entered Egypt through the Rafah border crossing, they said.
Israeli forces on Monday withdrew from Hamas-ruled Gaza following an escalation aimed at halting rocket fire on towns in southern Israel. Its five-day operation killed at least 120 Palestinians. -AFP
