CAIRO: Spanish first division side Getafe is interested in signing Al Ahly playmaker Mohamed Abou Trika, reports claimed on Thursday.
Websites such as Mercato 365, Football and Transfer Market Web announced the news, revealing that Getafe is impressed by the 29-year-old s performance in the 2008 Nations Cup.
According to the reports, the Spanish side is ready to bid for the gifted Egyptian midfielder in order to sign him in the summer.
Abou Trika had previously said he would be glad if he could play in Spain.
However, Al Ahly’s marketing manager, Adli Al-Qaeyi, told FilGoal.com that the club has not received any offers for Abou Trika until now.
