CAIRO: Al Ahly have threatened not to broadcast their CAF Champions League games in protest at the state television’s failure to pay them their dues.
The Red Devils said their decision will take effect from their game against Eritrea’s Al-Tahrir in the first-leg of the Champions League round of 32 later this month.
Al Ahly insisted they won’t backtrack unless state TV fulfills its financial obligations towards them.
Rows over broadcasting revenues have been constantly occurring in Egypt in the past few years.
