Essam Al-Hadari will be allowed to train with the Ahly first team during his three-week suspension from games.
Al Ahly said that the Egypt goalkeeper received a notice from the club to attend training upon the request of coach Manuel Jose.
The Portuguese manager ordered a special training program for Al-Hadari, intending to keep the 35-year-old fit.
Al-Hadari was punished by the Reds after he left the club to negotiate a contract with Switzerland s FC Sion without permission.
However, Al Ahly’s sanction against the troubled goalkeeper did not include a ban from training or a monthly wage cut.
