CAIRO: Ismaili chairman Ibrahim Ashour said on Saturday defender Hani Saied still has a chance to move to Europe after his Spartak Moscow deal appeared to be counterfeit.
The Dervishes initially announced that they have received an LE 1.2 million offer from Spartak for Saied.
But after the Russian side denied their interest, Ismaili found out that it was the work of Saied s agent rather than a firm offer.
We were dealing with Saied’s agent Ahmed Abbas. Spartak did not engage in direct talks with us, Ashour told FilGoal.com.
Abbas has promised the player to bring him another bid.
In order not to have a repeat of this unpleasant story, from now on we won’t be listening to any talks unless we receive a letter from any interested party.
Egypt defender Saied is not concerned with what is going on. He just thinks of moving to Europe.
The club s name doesn’t matter, I just want to move on. I have several other offers on the table, he said.
