CAIRO: Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan and Al Ahly are in the middle of advanced talks over a move next summer.
There are still a few details to agree upon, Hassan told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.
I will announce where I will play next season after finalizing the contract, he added from Germany, where Anderlecht play Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup.
The 32-year-old midfielder said he would sign a three-year deal with Ahly if they reached an agreement by next week.
Hassan, though, refused to reveal any financial details.
After 10 years in Europe, Hassan decided to return to the Egyptian League starting from next season.
He was sought after by Ahly, Zamalek and several Qatari sides.
Hassan is regarded as one of Egypt s all-time finest midfielders, helping the Pharaohs win the African Cup of Nations three times.
He played for Aswan and Ismaili in Egypt before moving to Turkey, where he played for several sides.
