CAIRO: Link Development recently sponsored the launch of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 in Saudi Arabia.
The software development subsidiary of Egypt’s LinkDotNet, and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, has enjoyed a long-term strategic partnership with Microsoft. Its latest launch was meant to “ensure that IT professionals in Saudi Arabia are among the first in the world to experience the launch of Windows Server 2008, according to a press statement.
The launch was the largest enterprise launch in Microsoft s history, said the company, and Link Development sponsored the first wave of presentations which took place in Jeddah, Al Khobar and Riyadh last week.

The launch program drew 3,000 visitors from all sectors of Saudi government and business and provided them with an early opportunity to experience the new Microsoft products, and also participate in question-and-answer sessions. Experts from Microsoft and Link Development were on hand to network. The icing on the cake was that everyone who attended left the events with all three new products to try.
