Ahli unhappy with new elections regulations

CAIRO: Al Ahly board is planning to send a list of proposed amendments on the new elections regulations adopted by the Egyptian Higher Council of Sports (HCS).

Ahly want to keep the vice-president and the General-Secretary positions, which are set to be abolished by the new rule.

The Red Devils board wants the HCS to reconsider the decision of reducing the number of board members. An anonymous source in the club believes that the HCS won t take these propositions seriously.

The new regulations are set to take effect in April.

Ahly s board elections are set to take place in September three months earlier than originally scheduled.
