CAIRO: Shadi Mohamed missed Tuesday s training session with Al Ahly because of an ankle injury that left him doubtful for next Saturday s game against Telecom Egypt.
A statement on the club s website said that Mohamed is still suffering from his ankle injury and wasn t able to resume trainings with the team.
The 30-year old defender was forced to quit the game against Tersana and is now submitted to rehabilitation.
The technical staff had finally some good news as Ahmed Sedik will resume full trainings next week and will be ready for action.
The Red Devils right winger suffered a groin injury two weeks ago and has now fully recovered but the medical staff thinks it s not worth rushing a comeback.
With only nine matches to go, Ahly are 20 points clear at the top.
