CAIRO: Derby County coach Paul Jewell is worried that Hossam Ghaly s fine performance could force other Premiership clubs to snatch the Egyptian from Pride Park.

Ghaly, who is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, produced some fine displays in recent weeks, much to the delight of his manager.

However, Jewell is concerned that his attempts to keep the 27-year-old could go in vain if he preferred top-flight teams than the relegated Derby.

I thought some of Hossam’s play against Everton was terrific, said the Derby boss after Sunday s 1-0 defeat at Everton.

Yes, I guess if he keeps playing like he did against Fulham, Middlesbrough and Everton, there is a danger of other clubs making a move.

Jewell has lately indicated that “work has started for next season as he considers Ghaly to be part of the team’s plans of returning to the Premiership.
