7 tourists injured in hot air balloon accident in Luxor

LUXOR: Seven tourists suffered minor injuries when their hot air balloon crash-landed Wednesday in Luxor, police said.

Four of those hurt are Scottish and the others are from Belgium, England and New Zealand, said Al-Shafie Mohammed Hassan, the police chief in Luxor.

Two of the tourists were hospitalized with broken bones, Hassan said.Hot air ballooning, usually at sunrise, is popular with tourists in Luxor, the site of the Valley of the Kings and other ruins from Egypt s pharaohs. -AP
