Teleperformance launches its 1000-seat Cairo contact center

CAIRO: Teleperformance, global expert in contact center management, has officially inaugurated its operations in Cairo.

To celebrate the occasion, a ceremony presided over by Dr Tarek Kamel, the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, was held at Teleperformance Egypt’s new headquarters above the Shoubra tunnel at the newly completed Post Office building. This ceremony was followed by a press conference and a gala dinner introducing the company to the local market and media.

Launched in 1978, Teleperformance is specialized in Customer relationship management (CRM), currently operating in 45 countries worldwide with over 83,000 employees. The company’s client base includes sectors such as telecommunications, internet service providers, financial services, insurance companies, technology, media, government sectors and electronic consumer goods.

“Outsourcing call center services are a major worldwide trend in all of today’s markets, and many local and international companies recognize the added value of our services. Egypt is the perfect environment for such an emerging outsourcing industry, with a large, well-educated, multi-lingual workforce, and we believe that the opening of our call center in Cairo is the perfect opportunity for Teleperformance, our clients and prospects and the employees that we will recruit, said Jacques Berrebi, Teleperformance Group Chairman and CEO.

Teleperformance started operating in Egypt in January 2008, and has already built a state-of-the-art call center capable of seating over 1,000 employees which the company plans to grow to 2,300 within the next three years.
