CAIRO: Ahly’s manager Manuel Jose was banned for two games and handed a LE 20,000 fine by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on Thursday for his inappropriate conduct towards Baladeya’s game referee.
The Portuguese tactician raged at the referee claiming a penalty after Baladeya defender punched the ball away from inside the box.
The EFA’s disciplinary committee had a meeting on Wednesday night and took disciplinary measures against Ahly, Ittihad of Alexandria as well as Telecom Egypt.
Ahly and Telecom Egypt were each slapped with a LE 5,000 for their fans insults to the referee, while the EFA disciplinary committee handed Ittihad a LE 10,000 fine for not attending the post-match press conference.
