CAIRO: ENPPI rocked league Champions Ahly with a 3-0 defeat on Tuesday in what might have been theirs easiest win of the season.
Islam Awad scored twice, 54 and 72, to down the Red Devils after Alaa Issa s early opener, 6.
It was an embarrassingly one-sided victory. ENPPI took control of the game against a second-string Ahly team.
Alaa Issa struck the opener from a well-placed free kick to put early pressure on third-choice keeper Mohamed Al-Shennawi.
Ahmed Belal could have leveled the score but his shot was repelled by the woodwork. Al-Shennawi was tested again and showed good reaction to deny Issa s powerful shot.
ENPPI players seemed more eager in the second half. Awad was inspirational for his side and showed some amazing skills as he doubled the lead in the 54th minute and scored again 18 minutes later.
