LE 250,000 worth of stolen objects seized

HELWAN: Two jobless robbers from Helwan have specialized in robbing houses at night by breaking their doors.

Police have seized stolen items worth about LE 250,000 from the pair.

The robbers were arrested and referred to the prosecution, which began the investigation.

Helwan bureau of investigation was tipped off about the activities of the two unemployed men by an informant.

After taking permission from the Prosecutor General’s Office the suspects were arrested pending investigation. Following interrogation they confessed to having formed a gang specialized in robbing houses at night.

They also admitted that they had committed nine robberies, stealen golden artifacts, electric appliances and sums of money from the apartments.
