CAIRO: Mohamed Abou Trika missed Thursday’s training session with Egypt because of a knee injury. The Ahly skipper is in rehabilitation and is set to resume full practice next week.

Anderlecht midfielder Ahmed Hassan and Hamburg forward Mohamed Zidan have been resting as they arrived late on Wednesday.

The players will get a break on Friday and then they’ll travel on Sunday to Alexandria to start their training camp ahead of their World Cup qualifier against DR Congo on June 1.

Manager Hassan Shehata will have all his men starting from Saturday except for Zamalek and ENPPI players who will play the Cup final on Sunday.

The Pharaohs are battling against Malawi, RD Congo and Djibouti in group B of the World Cup 2010 qualifiers.
