ALEXANDRIA: Ittihad President Mohamed Mosselhi has revealed that he is trying to sign Ahly s striker Ahmed Belal.

We made an enquiry and Ahly s officials put a LE 2 million price-tag for Belal, Mosselhi told FilGoal.com on Monday.

We can t afford such a sum and I will ask for a loan-deal, added Mosselhi.

Belal, 27, returned from Konyaspor to Ahly at the beginning of the season, but failed to break through Manuel Jose s starting lineup.

Although he only played a few games, Belal ended the season as joint top scorer for the Red Devils with six goals, just like Osama Hosni, Mohamed Barakat and Mohamed Abou Trika.

Meanwhile, Mosselhi confirmed that he is set to hold talks with right-winger Rami Saied to extend his contract at the Alexandrian side.

Recent reports claimed that Saied has reached an agreement with Petrojet and that he will ink a three-year deal worth LE 1.4 million.

We agreed terms a few weeks ago but I don t know if he changed his mind. I ll talk to him and see. If he wants to leave I have nothing against it, said the Ittihad chief.
