BENI SUEF: A housewife committed suicide in Beni Suef by swallowing a pesticide, according to police.
The Prosecution Office was informed of the incident after the body of Shadia Saad, 28, a homemaker from Shendi village, was found in her bedroom by her family.
The family members said she went upstairs to sleep and they found her dead in the morning beside a bottle of pesticide.
An initial report by health inspectors pointed out that death resulted from drinking a pesticide.
First Deputy Prosecutor Mustafa Al-Gaher ordered the body by autopsied to reveal the cause of death and investigations be immediately conducted.
