CAIRO: Amr Zaki threatened to lodge an official complaint to FIFA if the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) do not fulfill his request to terminate his contract with Zamalek, the player s agent said.
The EFA have until July 2 to respond, Nader Shawki told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.
If the EFA decline to accept Zaki s request, the player will lodge a complaint to world governing body FIFA.
Earlier this month, Wigan Athletic target Zaki has sent a letter to the EFA demanding to terminate his Zamalek deal.
The striker wants to depart Zamalek due to his strained relationship with the club s chairman Mamdouh Abbas.
Abbas previously promised Zaki he would allow him to move abroad following the Egyptian Cup final.
However, Abbas is reluctant to accept Wigan s offer to sign Zaki on a season-long loan.
