CAIRO: Ibrahim Saied s prospected move from Ankaragucu to Ismaili is in progress as the Egypt defender claims that the Dervishes have completed part of the deal.
Ankaragucu are believed to have agreed upon a $150,000 selling price for Saied, who decided to end his European adventure.
The deal is almost done, Ismaili sent $50,000 to Ankaragucu and the rest should follow soon, Saied told FilGoal.com.
Saied, who had a brief spell with Everton in 2003, failed to impress at Ankaragucu after joining from Rizespor last year.
Meanwhile, Ismaili trainer Khaled Al-Kammash indicated that the 29-year-old will be a useful addition to the squad next season.
It was suggested that Saied will be facing a tough battle to compete with Egypt s first-choice sweeper Hani Saied.
However, Al-Kammash stressed that the former Ahly player will be in important first team player.
Saied is useful to any team, he is an experienced player and I think that his place in the team is reserved, he said.
Ismaili, who will compete in the CAF Champions League next season, are set to start their pre-season camp on July 5 in Alexandria.
