ALEXANDRIA: Ittihad are in search of a new stadium in Alexandria as their home playing filed undergoes a renovation next month.

Alexandria stadium, which is one of the venues for the 2009 Youth World Cup in Egypt, will be unavailable starting from August 1.

Consequently, Ittihad and the newly-promoted Olympic were told to play their games in Damanhur.

However, Ittihad chairman Mohamed Moselhi rejected the idea of his side playing games outside Alexandria.

We will not play away from our fans, I think that Al-Max Stadium could be a solution, he told FilGoal.com.

Meanwhile, Ittihad sold midfielder Ahmed Hassan to Tersana for LE 150,000.
