CAIRO: Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan vowed to taken legal action against anchor man Khaled Al-Ghandour after the former Zamalek star accused him of being involved in Hani Saied s infamous saga.

Al-Ghandour claimed in his daily show on Dream TV that Hassan influenced Saied s decision to back down on his move to Zamalek from Ismaili.

However, the former Anderlecht man vehemently denied the allegations as he promised to sue Al-Ghandour.

This is a mess. I don’t know what sources he used to make these claims. I will take legal action to protect my rights, Hassan told FilGoal.com.

I am the captain of the national team and my relationship with all players is excellent. But I am also a footballer; I can never be involved in such cases.

I totally reject Al-Ghandour s actions, his relation to Zamalek does not give him the right to criticize Ahly players, this is inappropriate.

I hope the media can help us. We have an objective to reach the World Cup so we have to work as one unit.

Egyptian football has been wretched by a series of domestic problems in late, despite the sensational CAN 2008 achievement in Ghana.
