BALTIMORE: A federal judge in Baltimore has sentenced a 27-year-old Jordanian man to four years in prison for trafficking in fake Viagra pills.

The US Attorney s office says Iyad Dogmosh received more than 38,000 fake Viagra pills from Egypt, sold some and kept the rest in a Maryland storage facility that was raided by police in 2007.

Dogmish had pleaded guilty to selling about 2,000 counterfeit Viagra pills under a plea agreement. Authorities say lab tests showed the pills looked legitimate, but didn t have the active ingredient in the real medication.

Federal prosecutors said the wholesale cost of the pills was about $400,000. -AP
